   Hi guys! I failed the writing function of the CBEST. And I am wondering if I merely retake one part of the exam, do I accept eighty minutes or 240 mins to finish my writings? I am a super dull writer and I am thinking virtually retaking both math and writing parts and then that I tin apace finish the math then have more time on writing. Do I have to do that? Thanks

   Hello, really i haven't got my official score report yet. The reason I said I failed because i didn't have enough time to finish my second writing task. I ran out of time and I stopped halfway. I am pretty certain I will fail. Thanks for the link and information technology seems I exercise have 4 whole hours.

   Speaking for myself, I mailed the math section the first time. When I re-took the test, about a year subsequently, I recollect existence finished way earlier everyone else, not feeling sure about myself. Finally, I got upwards and turned in my examination. I passed information technology.

   I have a pretty much the aforementioned question as chloez. I passed the maths and reading department. When I registered to Cbest, I was not given any options to chose just the writing portion. When should I let them know, that I am going to take simply the Cbest writing and reading portion. Since I got low passing score in reading am thinking take reading section likewise. Delight let me know what are the all-time options for me.

    Thank you for the reply. I tried to register once again with newspaper based test. I noticed the options are given only while registering for computer based test. Is it non possible to chose but one or ii sections with paper based test?

    I am sorry to say that I am not sure about paper-based exam. Better to call the test centre for farther aid. I oasis't retaken my CBEST yet. The nearest center is nearly 80miles away

    Paru, yous passed the math section complimentary and articulate, merely barely passed the reading. If not mistaken, if your 3 sections full 123 points, with no section below 37, yous pass the test. From what I run into, if you lot make a 37 in the written department, you'll pass. I wouldn't bother with the reading section.

    With your 67 points in math, y'all can afford to brand 37 points on both of the other sections and you lot'll withal pass the test. I call up it'south a waste of time, for you, to retake the reading department. You can apply that time to work on your writing. For me, math was the problem, I failed the math at first.

    Thank you anybody for the kind response. I chosen the Cbest centre itself to clear my doubts. It turned out that, I should take both reading and writing sections to pass the CBEST. Since 37 is not itself a passing score. And equally teachergroupie said, paper based test is a whole examination. I can choose which department to attend on the testing 24-hour interval.

    You've been slightly misinformed, Paru: information technology is possible to pass CBEST with just one department score over 41, provided each department score is 37 or better and the amass score is over 123. (37 is called a "minimal pass" score for this reason.)

    I believe so. If u pass the writing at the 2d time and with the total score 123 or higher, 37 in reading is a passing score.

    No I started with Hindi at home only all our education in Republic of the fiji islands is in English, British English
    I was even thinking of having a recheck done but 29 is far beneath to reach 37. My cbest take a one year waiver which is near to expire. During my caste programme I did my English for bookish purposes, is that of some assist. I am worried because though I worked with a tutor and revised my conventions I still become 29.
